  1. from the video you seem to use smudge tool to blend alot. how do you know when exactly to use the tool?
I tried using smudge tool abit but sometimes the smudge effect seems to just destroy the 2 colors completely

    1. A lot of it is personal preference. If an edge is too sharp I might run the Smudge tool over it. Sometimes, I'm not happy with an area, rather than start over, I'll smudge it and see if I like the result. I should also mention that I spent a lot of time finding smudge brushes that I like, and what I like is brushes that have texture. It's very easy for the Smudge tool to turn a painting into a muddy mess. Oh, and don't forget that you can adjust the strength of the tool. Select Smudge and an option will appear on top of the screen that lets you adjust how strong the effect is.

    2. do you just use 1 brush just for the smudge tool and what type of brush should I be looking for?

    3. I have a few smudge brushes, but I mostly use one. As far as what makes a good smudge brush, I've found that anything with spaced "bristles" work best. For a good example of this download my brush preset. The first brush in the fourth row is what I typically use.

  4. I'd start with a darker background. Also pay special attention to how shadows, midtones and highlights relate to each other.

  6. Hello,
It's been a (very) long time since you published anything in here (or YouTube, or Twitch). Your work has always been a great inspiration for me, and from time to time I google your name to find some new art of yours. I hope you are well brother, and you will find some time to share your talent with me and other people, who look up to you. Think about patreon.com, you would make a good teacher.
    Take care,
    Kamil W.
